We're thrilled to announce a $2,500 scholarship in honor of Principal Beard, our 2025 Elk Grove Education Superhero Award winner! Principal Beard is the beloved principal at Stone Lake Elementary School, where he continuously motivates and inspires students, teachers, staff AND parents with his energy and passion for excellence.  In partnership with Principal Beard, this scholarship will be awarded to help one Stone Lake student get a customized Huntington academic program to improve his / her academic skills and be the best student they can be!

• Eligibility & details:

  • Limited to students enrolled at Stone Lake Elementary School during the 2024-25 school year.

  • Scholarship is good toward any small group programs at our Huntington Learning Center, Elk Grove location before Dec 31, 2025.

  • Winner can choose to focus on a subject area of his/ her choice (e.g., reading comprehension, writing, or math).

  • No purchase is necessary; there is no cash value to the scholarship.

• To apply:

  • Send a short essay (up to 500 words) or record a short video (up to 2 min) to ‪(916) 585-3823‬. Include student name & grade.

  • Explain which area(s) you are hoping to improve in school, and what it would mean to you to make such improvements.  Parent/guardians' support for submission is entirely ok.

  • Principal Beard will help us select the final winner.

  • Deadline to enter: Tuesday, June 10, 2025.
