2024 Curriculum (subject to change):
Keeping secrets in plain sight - how the secret code technology evolved over time, and how it changed history!
How do I make a lot of money without doing (almost) anything? The fundamentals of investing and how to make our money grow.
The marvels of engineering and architecture - how does the art and science of architecture impact our day to day lives?
What's happening to our environment? Understanding the BIG picture (oil spills, acid rain, water pollution) with hands on experiments on the small scale.
Format:
Led by experts in each subject area, including a partner from a leading architectural firm, former US math champion, and executives from prominent tech companies
A blend of presentations, discussions, and lots of hands-on team activities/experiments
Students have 2 weeks after each session to complete their hands-on activities
Day in the life of the expert at work
Eligibility:
Students in Grades 4 - 7 who excel in school with a GPA of 3.7+ (mostly As), OR
Selected for GATE program, OR
Successful completion of a full Huntington Program
This program is designed to be fast paced and requires students to be independent and intellectually curious!
