The Huntington Academic Evaluation is comprised of a series of activities that provide parents with an independent review of their student's academic skills and performance:
Is your student pacing at the appropriate grade level?
What are your student's academic strengths and weaknesses?
Is your student missing key skills that would keep them from reaching their full potential?
Duration: 1.5 to 2.5 hours (depending on grade level and individual's pace)
Test areas: 12 to 20 skill areas, including reading comprehension, fluency, speed, vocabulary, foundational math skills, organizational skills, and writing. Includes phonics for grades 3 and younger, and study skills for grades 8 and above.
Test method: Variety of interactive (with a teacher) and independent test components
Results: Grade equivalency in each area, level of mastery in specific subject areas and skills, and a customized individual learning plan
Benefits: A comprehensive and thorough review, including areas that are impacting school performance, but not typically tested by schools
Costs: $195 per student
